Nicole Clot has a background in Geography (University of Basel) and holds masters of advanced studies in Climate Change (CC, University of Copenhagen) as well as in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Vulnerability (EPFL/University of Bangalore). Her career in development cooperation started in 2004 with an MAS in Development and Cooperation (ETH Zurich) including a one-year assignment for SDC in a DRR project in Bolivia. Since 2007 she has accumulated strong thematic expertise, analytical and conceptual skills in the fields of disaster risk management, climate change and environment and project management experience in more than 15 countries. Her key expertise lies in the conceptual work on the interface between CC/DRR and development topics (e.g. development of the Guideline on assessing climate risks in market systems), including the organization and facilitation of tailor-made trainings. She currently works as Senior Advisor on Climate Change Adaptation. Nicole has also been a member of the Humanitarian Aid Expert Group “Environment and DRR” since 2006 .
